The documentary investigates the history, process and workflow of both digital and photochemical film creation. We show what artists and filmmakers have been able to accomplish with both film and digital and how their needs and innovations have helped push filmmaking in new directions. Interviews with directors, cinematographers, colorists, scientists, engineers and artists reveal their experiences and feelings about working with film and digital--where we are now, how we got here and what the future may bring.

The short movie "Two Friendly Ghosts" tells the story about James Dean meeting Donald Turnupseed for the second time – 56 years after their tragic car accident, at the very same intersection – now they have time to talk.

"Two Friendly Ghosts" has been screened worldwide at more than 30 movie festivals for an exclusive audience of the film making industrie and cinema enthusiasts. Now, the production team is releasing the final cut of "Two Friendly Ghosts" on Vimeo, Youtube and other selected online movie joints. Everyone is invited to view, comment, share and spread the word.
